How to make it

about 20 minutesmediumwith help from an adult

  1. Cut out the square along the outer dashed line. Lay it down with the yellow box at the top.
  2. Fold 1: fold the bottom half backwards, along the horizontal dotted line.
  3. Fold 2: fold the left half backwards, along the vertical dotted line.
  4. Fold 3: fold the bottom triangle backwards, along the diagonal dotted line. Now only the yellow triangle is on top.
  5. Cut through all the layers along the dashes in the yellow box: the curved line, the little corner at the point and the two half circles. Don't cut across the folds.
  6. Unfold carefully: a flower with eight petals and little holes! Colour it in or stick it on the window.

Normal printer paper is easiest to cut; thick paper is too thick when folded.
