How to make it

about 40 minutesmediumwith help from an adult160 gsm paper

  1. Colour in all the faces and pictures. Cut out the parts along the solid lines; leave the grey tabs attached.
  2. Fold all the dotted lines inwards, tabs too: the picture stays on the outside. Score the lines first with a ruler and an empty ballpoint pen for crisper folds.
  3. Make the station first: the side with the two big red doors is the front.
  4. Then make the tall training tower: fold the four long walls round and close it at the top and bottom.
  5. Glue the tabs down. Put the tower next to the station, with the ladder side facing out. That's where the firefighters practise climbing.
  6. Let everything dry well. A fire engine from another paper model fits nicely in front of the doors!

It looks best on thick paper (160 gsm).
