How to make it

  1. Colour in the head, the tail and the strips.
  2. Cut everything out along the dashed line.
  3. Glue the strips one after another: put glue on the grey box and lay the end of the previous strip on top. That makes one long strip.
  4. Fold the long strip like an accordion: backwards on the first dotted line, forwards on the next, and so on.
  5. Glue the head on the first box and the tail on the last. Pull the caterpillar out and push it back in: it crawls!
