How to make it

about 15 minuteschallenging

  1. Draw a circle, ideally using something round to help.
  2. Choose where the light comes from, for example the top left: draw a little sun.
  3. Leave a white shiny spot on the light side.
  4. Shade the side of the ball facing away from the light: the further away, the darker.
  5. Draw the shadow on the ground, on the opposite side from the light.
  6. Make the change soft with thin lines or by smudging with your finger.
  7. Now draw it big yourself in the box at the bottom, lightly in pencil first.
  8. Finished? Go over the lines neatly and colour in your drawing.
